The highlights of our 7 day vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico...
1. Enjoyed the View from the balcony of our suite
2. No Work, No Phones, No Meetings, No Laundry, No Cooking (Can you tell we are happy about that?!)
3. Eating breakfast each morning on our balcony enjoying the beautiful view
4. Wearing flip-flops and shorts everyday
5. Walking on the beach
6. Eating yummy food - our favorite was Club Sandwiches on the beach
7. ShayLynn breaking out in a horrible rash (I am still trying to get over it!)
8. Enjoying chips with gaucamole and salsa - we ate way too much!
9. Seeing Fields Moseley and chatting with him for a little bit - really nice guy! (He is a reporter on the local news - I tried to take the picture nonchalantly.)
10. Sleeping in, taking naps and being lazy constantly!
11. Drinking "national" drinks on the beach! (They call coke, pepsi, magaritas, etc. a "national" drink - we laughed every time!)
12. Reading on the beach, by the pool, in our hotel room, on the balcony... I finished "The Forgotten Garden" and Chad finished 2 1/2 books.
13. Riding on beach cruiser bikes around the area - so fun!
14. Enjoyed boogie boarding in the ocean
15. Swimming in the pools
16. Watching the lizard that hung around the pool for a while
17. Played basketball and exercised in an amazingly nice gym - we had to burn off all those calories we had been eating!
18. Searched for seashells to take to the kids
19. Told many street vendors "No thank you" when they wanted to sell us their merchandise
20. Checked email many times waiting to here how our kids were - this was our only communication with them for 7 days since calling was really expensive!
21. Chad experienced many people who would just instantly start speaking spanish to him - does he look like a native?!
22. Enjoyed lots of quality time together - very much needed!
23. After 7 days VERY excited to go home to see our kids! We missed them like crazy - next time they are coming with us!
24. I threw up once on our flight from Mexico to Phoenix and 5 times from Phoenix to Vegas - never thought that happened to anyone but I guess I was the one who got to experience that! The turbulence was horrible on both flights the entire time and I don't think being pregnant helped make it any better!
25. Our flight was delayed from Phoenix to Vegas because there was swarm of bees around the plane - really strange!
26. Enjoyed being on solid ground after 2 miserable flights and then drove from Vegas to St. George.
27. Was very emotional when I saw our kids and felt very lucky when they ran up to give us big hugs and kisses! How can you not love these 2 silly, cute kids!
28. Greeted by an adorable poster the kids made for us!
29. Grateful my kids had an amazing time with Grandma and Grandpa and loved to listen to all the fun things they did. From storytime, the sanddunes, going to the splash park, lunch at the park, baseball and kickball, playing and playing with cousins - the kids were happy, content and made great memories with family!
30. Loved finally being home after being away 12 days - back to reality and the daily routine! How grateful I am for family, my kids, vacations, love and the beautiful creations we get to enjoy!
So insanely jealous!!! I am glad you had a wonderful trip! It looks gorgeous there, how fun!
