Christmas crept up fast and somehow quietly. I did not ever even give Christmas cards a thought this year so I just thought a blog post of our happenings of 2011 would be the best option!
Chad... hit his 4 year mark as Bishop the end of May... enjoys many aspects of his calling especially the youth... still working from home and loving it... enjoyed going to BYU games with Ty this year... enjoyed eating lots of food at Disneyland in May during family vacation... ran two 5k's, two 10k's and completed his first 1/2 marathon!
ShayLynn... loves staying at home taking care of 3 busy, active kids... volunteers many hours at Ty's school... loved family vacation to Disneyland... enjoying the much needed space in our Seqouia... grateful for many snuggling hours reading books with my kids.
Ty... made it through 1st grade and started 2nd... accomplishing a lot at school, playing the piano and playing sports (soccer, basketball, baseball and flag football)... teaching us arabic words and sharing songs in arabic... making many friends with constant daily knocks on our door and phone calls... playing "Book of Mormon" stories for prelude music in primary... bearing his testimony 12 times this year (never misses the chance)... makes us laugh... loves to read for hours and hours... anticipates his baptism in April.
Isabelle... finished her 1st year of preschool and started her 2nd year so much better... has a great imagination... loves to play anything and everything girly... loves to accomplish things on her own... tells us frequently she "just wants to grow up and be a mom"... learning to adjust sharing a room with Ty... loved, loved, loved seeing the princesses at Disneyland... loves reading books and going to the library so she can pick out her own books... still favors mom over anyone else and loves her cuddle time!
Vivienne... sadly she is growing up too fast... took her first steps 2 days ago... loves to play with Isabelle and Ty... just can't help getting into everything and making messes... starting to be a picky eater with a sweet tooth... cheers everyone up with her silliness... she is so happy and smiles a lot... loves to talk and says "what dat?"... still loves her pacifier but only gets it while she sleeps... loves to find the baby Jesus in our little peoples nativity set... loves to have books read to her all the time!
