My parents came into town for a few days and we went to the Draper Temple Open House. It was so amazing! The temple is beautiful and so unique and modern! Interesting fact- the temple is 18,000 sqft and a house located by the temple (which is still unfinished and not being worked on) is 27,000 sqft. Now who in the world needs a huge house like that???
The best part was being to able to take the kids inside, especially Ty since he understands a lot more than Isabelle. He asked lots of questions and was very curious about the baptismal font. It is a great blessing to be sealed to my family for eternity. I can't think of any place I would have rather been than in the temple that day with my family to see the beauty and feel peace.
Of course the best part for Ty was the bus ride... what is it with buses and kids?? On the way there, Isabelle was so cute and had to hold onto the bar in front of the seat. On the way back, it was a little crowded so my dad gave up his seat to stand...of course Ty had to stand too and held onto the bar very tight the entire ride.
