We headed off for "Big Sky Country" in good ole' Montana! I had never been there and was looking forward to spending a week with the family. Chad had to go up for work and we were lucky to tag along and stay at The Resort at Paws Up. I had seen pictures of the accommodations but did NOT expect to stay at such an amazing place... I don't think we will ever stay at a nicer place!

This was our 3500 sqft cabin we got to stay in - it was rough! ;)

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR TRIP:

~ Sleeping in the most comfortable king-size beds (even the kids slept longer hours)

~ Enjoying our stay in a 3,500 sq ft cabin with AMAZING views

~ Sitting in the hot tub

~ The kids loved taking showers and baths in the jetted tub (why can't this be my bathroom at home?!)

~ Seeing deer everyday outside our cabin - we especially loved seeing this doe and her baby!

~ Throwing rocks in the Blackfoot river.

~ Going to kids camp - they got to help build a fire to roast marshmallows and eat s'mores, go on a hike to find arrowheads, play with the baby cow and goats, and made beaded arrowhead necklaces.

~ Running around everywhere!

~ Going on a horse ride and even learning how to use the reins
*Don't ya just love her pink boots?!

~ Eating a lot of good "different" food that I would normally not prepare - sauteed chard with braised artichokes, elk tenderloin, seared salmon and asparagus.

~ Going on a chuck wagon dinner - we rode in a horse drawn wagon out to a secluded spot next to the Blackfoot river for an amazingly good dinner prepared by a chef on site - chicken, prime rib, potatoes, corn and asparagus, and yummy berry cobbler! The ride was really bumpy but Isabelle was so tired she actually fell asleep on the way there.

~ Hatchet-throwing - It was Ty and Chad's first time and they both did pretty good! Chad actually hit one really close to the bulls eye!

~ Playing games in the loft of our cabin

~ Chad had to work a lot but we definitely enjoyed family time together in the beautiful mountains - this will be a vacation we remember for a long time!!
