Ty's 8th

On March 31st Ty celebrated his 8th birthday. We enjoyed a quiet day of conference, smoothies, lunch at Del Taco, playing outside, breakfast for dinner and brownies and rainbow sherbet - all of Ty's favorites. It turned out to be a really fun, simple birthday and I knew Ty loved it because he told us several times throughout the day that it was the best day! He got an alarm clock, beyblade and frisbee for his birthday and we also got him a picture of the temple and a CTR ring for his baptism. We enjoy all the energy that he brings into our home!

Some of his favs:
-Soccor, football, basketball - playing and watching!
-Food - Pizza, candy and fruit (this is what he always says our his favorites!)
-Snacks, Snacks and well Snacks... he is a snacky boy! Pretzels, yogurt, and fruit snacks are the most requested.
-Friends - he can make friends everywhere. We already have several knocks a day at our new house wanting him to play.
-Family time - he loves playing games together, going on walks, being outside and having FHE.
-Wii and Beyblades
-Reading - he can finish a chapter book in about an hour. He is a great reader!
-Scouts - This is a whole new learning experience but ever since he got his Wolf book he is on fire with wanting to learn and pass off his Bobcat. He can't wait for the next time he gets to go... his new favorite day is Wednesday since it's scout day! The first day he went he had to wear the entire outfit because he was so excited to have all the cool stuff. His scout leader talked to me when I picked him up and she said "Ty is really smart! I'm sorry that for his first day we had to do a learning activity." Ty said "I loved it! I had a lot of fun. I can't wait until the next week." She said "Well that's great because all the other boys complained about it." I hope he will keep this attitude about it so he can get his eagle scout early.
