The girls were of course excited to go play with cousins, see Grandma and Grandpa and their dog Cruz. We had a fun late Easter egg hunt and family get together with dinner. We played at Aunt Ashley's house and roasted hot dogs, the girls danced and performed with Adyn and Piper with their new wands from Grandma, they painted, had a sleepover, watched movies and got spoiled! It was a nice break!

Girls Spring Break 2013
We split up this year, in May, for Spring Break - I took the girls to St. George while the boys had their California sports trip.

Christmas 2012
I am determined to get our blog caught up before I get too busy with Summer activities.
We enjoyed a full month during December.
Our kids enjoy doing our advent activities... sadly I can't remember everything we did since I didn't take a picture of everything (the reason I need to stay on top of documenting these family times).
-Decorating our tree
-Opening different Christmas books
-Making a Gingerbread House
-Waking up to a new crazy Elf hiding place and trick
-Seeing the Reindeer
-Riding Frontrunner to Temple Square
(along with all the other thousands of people who had the same idea) Crazy!
-Making cone Christmas Trees
-Grinch night - watching Grinch and having Grinch floats
-Watching Isabelle in her Kindergarten Grinch performance - so cute!
-Enjoying Christmas Eve at the Taylor's - listening to musical performances (Ty played the piano), playing Minute to Win It games, playing with cousins and eating good food.
-Christmas morning we enjoyed time just the 5 of us in our new home! Vivi got a Little Tikes car, Isabelle got another doll plus accessories and Ty got a Wii game plus lots of little fun stocking stuffers. We had a great relaxed, quiet, fun Christmas day!
-We headed down to St. George a few days after Christmas to spend with my family. The kids always enjoy lots and lots of cousin time with sleepovers and playing. We opened more presents and played Minute to Win it games again. Ty was devastated the first round at the Taylor's because he didn't win (his strong competitive side) so he was determined to win at least once which of course he did since my family isn't very competitive at all!
Having fun riding in Grandpa's El Camino

Fall 2012
Yep it's official - I am behind! Fall Festivities may be old news to most but I have to document all the great things that happened the last quarter of 2012 before I move on to 2013!
We all look forward to General Conference! The kids love our traditions each time and this year we started a new one with inviting some good friends from our old neighborhood over during the Priesthood session to make pizzas and apple cider caramel popcorn. The kids devoured it!
Halloween is of course a highlight in October for our kids. I think Isabelle loves it the most! The kids had fun parties in their classes and at church. Trick or treating is by far the favorite! The kids love to come home dump out their candy and line it up, lay down by it and see just how much candy they got. Surprisingly I just barely (January 5th) got around to cleaning out the halloween bags and throwing away the rest of the candy.
The weekend after Halloween we headed down to St. George. My parents had their annual Halloween party. We usual miss it since we don't live close but this year the kids were able to enjoy the festivities.
They ate donuts on a string (and even Chad, my brother and dad participated - pretty funny!), we had a cupcake walk which Isabelle happily was in charge of helping with, and a few other fun games with lots of cousin time!

This fall was our first time visiting Cornbelly's but it will definitely be an annual tradition. The weather was fabulous and warm and that meant we were there for several hours!

Spring Break & Easter

*Explanation: My mom had bought this ball the kids climbed in and rolled around. They LOVED it but then my brother decided to get a little crazy! It entertained everyone for a while! :)
My mom had a packed schedule for each day. They were able to go fishing where Isabelle caught the biggest fish - she was so excited! They hiked, had a BBQ and played kickball at the park, had sleepovers with their cousins, ran in the sprinklers, went to the library, went shopping and got new shoes for Ty (Isabelle said she had enough since we had just bought her some - she'll learn quickly that you never say no to shoes!!), colored eggs and had an easter egg hunt and played and played and played with cousins! Wow! My mom I am sure was exhausted after the week was over!
I was able to go down on Thursday night by myself to pick the kids up. It was a treat to drive that far with no kids in the car... the simple things moms look forward to alone! I enjoyed being there for the easter egg hunt and finally seeing my niece Piper.

Since the kids had an egg hunt in St. George we just celebrated our Easter simple. The Easter bunny came on Saturday morning and left baskets and eggs hidden around the house with money and candy. Sunday we enjoyed dinner with Chad's family. It was a candy filled weekend of fun! We only enjoy sugar on the weekends so I must say I enjoyed my cadbury chocolate eggs and reese's peanut butter eggs a little too much! ;)
